Installation & Use

Installing Snap2Travel

Download the free Snap2Travel app from the iTunes App Store or Android Market (Travel category)

Using Snap2Travel

After launching the app, the Snap2Travel main screen is displayed. Here you can choose from three functions, Camera, Library and Demo. By selecting the camera icon you can either snap/take a picture of a page or hotel from any DERTOUR 2011 brochure. Photos can also be stored and accessed via the library icon for a later use. For an overall impression of the Snap2Travel App, a short video clip can be viewed by selecting the “demo” icon.

Once a picture has been taken, it will be recognised by Snap2Travel and returned to your screen. To continue a tap on the displayed image is required. Where more than one hotel is featured or several accommodation types are available, an individual choice can be made on the next screen.

Within seconds details of the chosen hotel are displayed and if available additional hotel pictures and maps can be viewed by selecting the relevant icon. The “price” icon leads on to the travel details screen. Here the check in, check out, no. of adults etc. must be entered. To receive live pricing and availability, the “get prices” icon must be selected. On the next screen a list of the available room categories including meal plan and price are displayed for selection.

Once the room category has been chosen an overall summary of the offer is displayed.

By selecting the “Contact” icon you can communicate with your travel agent, per e-mail or telephone*. Via the “e-mail” icon your booking request can be sent directly to your travel agent for further consultation. You can also contact your travel agent by phone by selecting the “Telephone” icon.

* After the initial installation of the app, in order to proceed with contacting your travel agent, a once off registration of your e-mail address is required. You can then select a nearby travel agency by allowing Snap2Travel to use your GPS location, alternatively a search can be performed by entering the first two digits of the travel agencies postal code.

Snap a sample brochure page and try it out.
