Our Company
Snap2Travel is an initiative to provide a mobile travel technology solution to excite the traveller, support the travel agent and provide an information and product distribution outlet for travel suppliers and business partners.
Our Technology
‘A picture says a thousand words’, Snap2Travel uses state of the art image recognition technology provided by Kooaba (www.kooaba.com), to identify travel destinations based on pictures taken via a smart phone. Our automated image download system, automates the imports of our clients’ catalogues, advertisements and marketing material onto our travel content database. Snap2Travel provides real-time connectivity to our clients pricing and availability systems through an open interface. Currently Snap2Travel is available on Apples iPhone and on Android with plans are already in place for an RIM (Blackberry) version of the solution in the near future.

Greg Cawley – Founder & CEO
Greg is passionate about technology and travel. He has over 20 years technology and international working experience of which 10 years are specifically in the travel technology market. Greg has been involved in travel technology management within Lufthansa and Amadeus organisations. In 2002, Greg led a management buy-out of Traventec, a software services development company for the travel industry. Traventec was sold in 2008 to OpenJaw Technologies. Acting as a business angel, Greg is also involved with several technology start-ups in Switzerland and Ireland. -
Séamus Kilbane – Chief Financial Officer
Séamus Kilbane has responsibility for Snap2Interact’s Finance and Administration Operations. Seamus brings more than 20 years software industry experience to the role, having held senior European financial positions with APC, NetIQ, Siebel Systems, Informix, Borland International and Ashton-Tate. A graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, Séamus is also Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and trained with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. -
Kirsten Niedermueller – Content Management
Kirsten has spent her working career in the travel and tourism industry. Originally an art and design graduate she heads up Content Management at Snap2Travel. In Germany she gained significant experience in the hotel industry where she also graduated in hotel management. Kirsten then moved into senior management with DER Ireland, a subsidiary of Deutsches Reisebüro Frankfurt, which is one of Germany’s largest travel agency chains and the leading tour operator. For over ten years she was Operations Manager with DER Ireland ltd. Galway, leading their European shared services centre. -
Marc Mellotte – Technical Architect
Marc is a highly experienced technologist with 15 years of experience across the multinational and SME sectors. He has occupied a variety of senior roles in these organisations. He has designed, delivered, supported and managed a wide variety of software systems from small standalone applications to large business systems. Marc has a track record of successfully introducing new & innovative technologies into all of the organisations that he has worked in. Marc brings his expertise in technological innovation and R&D leadership to the Snap2Interact team.

Fintan Hynes – Software Development Manager
Fintan has over 10 years hands-on experience in software development, project leadership and technical management. He has a significant background in Travel technology working on and leading a variety of projects for Travel technology companies. He has experience with managing development of enterprise scale production systems and has worked in both dynamic start-up environments and large multinational organisations. Fintan brings a deep expertise in applying technological solutions to complex business problems to the Snap2Interact team.
